Founder Note

Hello, I’m the founder & Executive Director of Fintech Scholars, I really want to share my story, and how this org was formed. I created a nonprofit called NAFI back in May 2025 with a junior in my school, I was very busy managing everything while my other co-founder was busy with junior year. So, I decided to head into a different direction so I brought in more co-founders and rebranded the whole org. Then, Fintech Scholars was born in June of 2025, I had high hopes for this because I brought in four other co-founders and added more unique features like free cohorts, student-led clubs, and competitions. I choose those features because I struggle with the cost of higher education, lack of clubs in my school, and finding competitions. Fintech Scholars should be a community of future tech and finance leaders. August of 2025 was the most successful month so far: we got a 1k grant from StarSeed Grant, got fiscally sponsored by hack club, got 100 responses for the interest form, and released the fall cohort application. I truly believe this org is headed to great places and would continue to thrive as time passes.
